The public is invited to join the New Brighton
Area Historical Society on Sunday, April 27, at
4:00 PM, at the New Brighton Community
Center, 400 10th St. NW, for its 45th Annual
Meeting.
The Society will present a program on the History
of Scouting in the New Brighton area. Boy and
Girl Scoutmasters and the Scouts from Troop 106
and Troop 412 have been invited. A Color Guard of
Scouts from the area will open the program.
Mayor Kari Niedfeldt-Thomas, a parent of an
Eagle Scout, and Director of New Brighton
Department of Public Safety Tony Paetznick,
another Eagle Scout parent, will be in attendance.
The Mayor has issued a proclamation declaring
April 27 as “New Brighton Scouting Day.”
A representative from the North Star Museum of
Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting will also attend.
