Rhubarb Fest June 4, 2023 1-4 pm
We will pick rhubarb Saturday morning and sell it and potted rhubarb transplants in the afternoon June 3 till 4 pm.
Here is a photo of Wayne Searles and Ron Cota, loyal volunteers of the society, as they are preparing to install the park bench in honor of volunteer Lenny Kloncz. Wayne and Ron are responsible for much of the maintenance of our depot museum, and we thank them for their service.
New Brighton Area Historical Society held “Ice Castles, Ice Palaces, Ice Harvesting, Ice Cutting, & Ice Boxes” on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the New Brighton Community Center. Presenters included Joyce Kloncz and Wayne Searles.
It seems as though wedding parties are attracted to having photos taken on our caboose. Many weekends we have had wedding guests stop in to take photos. Below are 3 weddings from the recent past.
NBAHS board members Peg Joyce along with Jim & Lori Nebel participated in the New Brighton Trunk or Treat event passing out candy (donated by Cub Foods) to approximately 1300 costumed kids accompanied by their parents (Oct 21st 2023).
